Established as an industrial and
provident society.
Has completed renovation on over
dozen projects.

The Lectures
The
late Lady Evershed, founder of the Trust, started a series of annual
lectures to raise the Trust's profile and to bring quality speakers
to the area. The lectures were continued after her death in her memory.
Previous speakers have included:
- Lord Gowrie, speaking about
National Conservation Policy
- Dame Jennifer Jenkins on
English Heritage
- Sir Hugh Casson, President of
the Royal Academy, who spoke about the restoration of Venice
- Lady Victoria Leatham on the
restoration of Burghley House
- William Shawcross, the writer
and broadcaster, about Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
- John Timpson, the former
broadcaster, lectured about Norfolk
- Our Patron, the Earl of
Leicester, spoke about his stately home, Holkham.
- Professor Dabydeen lectured on
Edward Jenkins and the British Empire: a view from
King’s Lynn
- Professor Trevor Davies,
Vice Chancellor of the University of East Anglia who talked about the
impact of climate change on King's Lynn
- Dr Simon Thurley Chief
Executive of English Heritage took as his theme "King's Lynn : Own Town
or Clone Town?"
